WHY PEOPLE LOVE Flexcup logo

  • The Best New Menstrual Cup

When I heard about the Flex Cup, I was obsessed. It is the new kid on the block and is all about comfort and easy removal.

  • It’s important to design menstrual products for disabled people, too.

Menstrual cups are awesome. They are better for the environment, save you money over time, and can be used for 12 hours continuously. However [unlike the FLEX cup], conventional cups are not made for everyone.

  • FLEX is spoiling me right now

Okay so I just emptied the cup for the first time and that release. HOLY CRAP IT'S AMAZING. Normally,I would have to reach up and grab the actual cup and use my muscles to push the cup down to release it.

    Ashley S.

  • I much prefer the FLEX Cup to the Diva Cup. Here’s why:

It has a little pull loop instead of a solid stem that helps break the seal. I don't need a pad as a back up like I did with the diva cup. I wish I'd had a cup in high school instead of tampons.

    Britney K.

  • It’s so liberating not to have to carry feminine products around with me!

I ’ve been an avid tampon user since I was 14. I’m 27 now. I used the cup today for the first time on the heaviest day of my period and I have never been happier!

    Sam K.

  • Incredible! I cannot recommend this cup enough!

Since it is a new design, I was hesitant to get it. I am so glad I did! It is easy to put in and easy to remove. I have tried the Diva Cup but I couldn't get it in as easily and I really could not get it out. The pull string for this cup makes it so easy!

1. How does a menstrual cup work?

A menstrual cup sits in the vaginal canal to collect menses, rather than absorbing it. It’s reusable, so one cup replaces your current products for the heaviest to the lightest days of your flow. Since it doesn’t absorb fluid, it leaves your natural lubrication in place, making it much more comfortable to wear. It can be worn for up to 12 hours, is hypoallergenic and does not affect the natural pH of your vagina.

2. What is the difference between FLEX Cup and other cups?

With menstrual cups, a seal is created where the vaginal walls meet the cup wall. Once this seal is created, if you were to tug on the cup, you would experience suction.

To remove a traditional cup, you have to reach inside to break this suction. With the FLEX Cup, all you have to do is pull the ReleaseRing which breaks the suction, and the cup slides out easily.

3. How does it not leak?

The FLEX Cup prevents leaks in two ways. First, the cup itself creates a seal with the vaginal walls, which helps hold it in place and funnels everything into the cup.

The second point of leak protection is at the bottom of the cup. The ReleaseRing passes through a hole that is slightly smaller than the ReleaseRing’s pull string, creating a tight seal.

I hope this answers your question! Please let me know if I can help with anything else.

4. Can you feel the loop when it’s in?

Our ReleaseRing is soft and pliable, so it moves with your body, rather than poking against it. You may feel the ReleaseRing right when the cup is inserted, but as it warms to your body temperature and conforms to your natural shape, you shouldn’t notice it.

5. How do I know which size is right for me?

For most people, either size will work— it’s a matter of choosing the best fit for your comfort and capacity concerns.

We recommend that most first time cup users start with our Slim Fit cup. It will be easier to have it open fully once inserted.

However, if are over 30 and/or if you have given birth, the Full Fit will likely result in a better, leak-free fit for you. Our Full Fit cup also has an increased capacity, so it may be the best choice for you if you have a heavier than average flow. (The Slim Fit holds 22 mL of fluid, and the Full Fit holds 30 mL)

6. What is the refund/return policy?

Due to the nature of the product, we are unable to accept returns and all sales are final. Therefore, we cannot issue refunds on product that has already been processed.

7. I have mobility challenges, will this cup work for me?

The FLEX Cup was designed by a woman with a disability to make cups easier to use, and we think it can expand access to use for many more people that have found conventional cups too challenging.

Specifically, our innovative ReleaseRing addresses one of the major pain points with cup use: removal. By giving you the ability to break the seal from below the cup, we hope this design will break down barriers for you.

8. What is the difference between the FLEX cup and the FLEX disc?

Menstrual discs sit above the vaginal canal in the widest part of the vagina, called the vaginal fornix. Cups sit in the canal, similar to where a tampon sits.

Both the disc and the cup can be worn for up to 12 hours, but what you do once you take it out is another point of difference. The disc is disposable and single-use only, so you simply empty the contents and throw it away after a single use. With the cup, after emptying the contents, you clean it with soap and water and reinsert as directed.

The disc can be worn during penetrative sexual intercourse, but the cup must be removed before sexual intercourse.

Whether you choose single-use disposable disc or reusable cup is up to you. We believe in the power of choice, which is why we offer the most innovative options in both categories.

9. Where can I learn more about the disc?
